Argsystems LLC. design and build enterprise electronic records archive systems. Built on a combination open source/open standards, these systems allow your organization the secure retention, control, inventorying and retrieval of the entire content repositories of your organization data infrastructure.

USING MODERN SEARCH ENGINE TECHNOLOGY
Modern search engine technology systems rely on full-text indexes of very large collection of archival content. This generally consists of a list of several million archive files indexed for the sole purpose of providing a high performance search infrastructure for content discovery. Full text search capabilities will be ensured by recording file location , attributes, and various elements obtained from parsing the entire document selected form among the entire record archive.
Key functionality of such systems are:
-the ability to federate data; providing a mechanism for extracting data from remote applications, systems and sites for storage purpose.
-data write speed performance; the system must be equipped to handle storage of very large amount of data at a high rate
-implementing good records management practices of being able to find, organize, use, share. dispose, save various data
-flexibility in handling various formats for the ESI (electronically stored information) data being included in the archive such as text documents, e-mails, voice mails, instant messages, web pages, digital images, video content, maps, log files, spreadsheets, presentations, audio files, charts, drawing, databases, satellite imagery, geographic information system data, etc…with predictable impact on systems processing performance
-implementing data management good practices including developing meta-data (indicating various state, date, origin, type, regulatory policies such as retention, formats ASCII, SGML, HTML, PDF, TIFF etc ..) and keyword that are updated as to reflect the state and content of the searchable archive.
-governance, operating procedures and policies
-defining the underlying infrastructure including storage, high-performance networking, fault tolerance, security integrity,
back-ups, etc…

Using Hadoop-based clusters for storage and archiving
Hadoop based clusters generally consist of many low cost servers operating together in order to:
1. provide a scalable storage infrastructure built from disk(s)-equipped low cost servers storage. Storage capacity is added with each new server
2. conduct advanced analysis and processing of significantly large volume of stored data simultaneously.
Argsystems LLC. relies on low cost servers combined to an entirely open source technology stack that gives your organization the power and flexibility that storing and indexing volume of data requires. Because GNU/Linux builds on significant security and performance capabilities at no cost, our solution allows to configure and customize your archive architecture to the strict requirements imposed by the industry you’re operating in.
